A group of 15 colleagues from a Barcelona marketing agency have become the latest EuroMillions millionaires after their office syndicate matched all numbers in the Friday, January 17th draw. The group will share a total prize of €67.4 million, giving each member approximately €4.5 million.
The syndicate, which has been betting together for over seven years, discovered their win on Saturday morning when their designated "checker" – marketing coordinator María González – reviewed their numbers.
"I always check our numbers over my morning coffee on Saturdays. When I saw we had all seven numbers, I thought the website must be wrong. I checked three different sources before calling my colleagues. Nobody answered at first – they probably thought I was calling about work!"
Seven Years of Betting Together
The syndicate formed in 2019 when a group of colleagues decided to pool their resources for EuroMillions draws. Each member contributes €10 per week, which covers tickets for both the Tuesday and Friday draws.
