100 days around the world with EuroMillions (part 1)
Attention EuroMillions players, Mega Week is about to blow your mind with a memorable launch! In just a week (on 27th September) EuroMillions is about to make 10 new EuroMillions millionaires that will not only become filthy with money overnight, but they will also be given the chance to choose between two itineraries for their 100-day-around-the-world adventure of a lifetime!
Each of the 10 lucky Mega Week winners will have the privilege of staying in seven amazing locations around the world, which means 100 days of 5-star treatment every millionaire dreams of. Besides, the winners can also choose between a continuous 100-day luxury trip or take it all in in smaller bites of up to seven separate trips within four years.
The two itineraries you will have to choose from in case you end up being one of the 10 lucky EuroMillions Mega Week special winners are Italy, South Africa, the Maldives, New Zealand, Bora Bora, and Mexico or St Lucia, New York, Hawaii, Australia, Philippines, Japan, and Thailand. As you can see whichever option you choose, you won’t regret it. Here are the top things to do on each destination together with some invaluable tips (not that you’d need them with being a millionaire and all):
A personal favorite, Italy has A LOT to offer. Depending on the time you have, you can choose any of the following and be sure you’ve managed to soak in the Italian culture. Here’s what to do: eat pizza in Naples, take a (night) ride on a vaporetto in Venice, get a guided tour of the Vatican Museum, drive along the Amalfi coast, see an opera in Verona, eat gelato (lots of it), get lost in Venice, and walk in Caesar’s footsteps in Rome.
The adventure capital of the world will leave you begging for more. Here’s what’s not to miss: go on South African safari, go bungee jumping, enjoy cage diving with great white sharks, meet the locals, climb Table Mountain, surf the beautiful coasts, and go rafting in the desert.
You certainly don’t have to be a honeymooner to fall in love with this piece of heaven. Here’s what to do there: go to the Male' Fish Market, swim with whale sharks, go on a deep-sea fishing trip with local fishermen, take to the sea on board a dhoni (a traditional wooden sailboat), adopt your own coral reef (why not?), spend some time on a deserted island. Or get married (just a suggestion).
The ultimate adrenalin junkie's paradise will leave you breathless (both literally and figuratively speaking). Here’s what will take your breath away: an adventure tour of New Zealand’s amazing natural landscapes (think walking on ice mountains), eat a fergburger (considered the best burger in the world), meet the Kiwi people, and, of course, swim with wild dolphins.
You might think you don’t want to do anything else but taking naps under the shades of a palm tree on the white sand but Bora Bora has so much more to offer! Leave napping for later and take a lagoon tour, go on a Polynesian picnic in one of the private islands of Bora Bora, go snorkeling in the Coral Gardens, taste Poisson Cru (raw fish seasoned with lime and coconut milk), and don’t forget to watch the sunset!
A place to inspire, Mexico is many millionaires’ go-to destination and you should enjoy it as well, being a EuroMillions Mega Week millionaire. Here are the top things to see and do there: explore the beautiful white sandy beaches in the Mayan Riviera, visit one of the “New Seven Wonders of the World”, Chichen Itza, swim with the dolphins, go clubbing at the world famous Coco Bongo Club, and sail the Caribbean Sea on a catamaran boat.
In part 2 of this article, we’ll explore the beauties of your second itinerary option as a Mega Week EuroMillions winner (St Lucia, New York, Hawaii, Australia, Philippines, Japan, and Thailand). Stay tuned!
