Winning EuroMillions Ticket Thrown into the Rubbish!
It's been revealed that the UK's newest millionaires had actually thrown their winning EuroMillions ticket away before fortunately fishing it out of the bin!
David Long and Kathleen MacKenzie, the soon-to-be newly wed couple from Scunthorpe had binned their EuroMillions ticket after failing to win the main jackpot. However when David saw the winning Millionaire Raffle numbers the next day it triggered something in his memory and he had a feeling that he may have matched some of the numbers. After he managed to find his ticket by searching through the rubbish David saw to his great surprise that he had matched more than just a few numbers!
In fact, the lottery ticket matched all of the EuroMillions Millionaire Raffle numbers correctly and David and Kathleen are now £1,000,000 richer! When asked what they would do with their newfound wealth Kathleen happily remarked that they could now afford to have a ?smashing wedding?.
You may be surprised to learn that it's not unusual for EuroMillions tickets worth thousands or even millions of pounds to go unclaimed! In fact, each time the EuroMillions Millionaire UK raffle has taken place there have been a few winning tickets worth £1,000,000 which have been donated to charity after no winner stepped forward, presumably because the owner has thrown either them away, lost them or simply has forgotten they bought them!
