EuroMillions Superdraw On Friday 6th March
They say the one who waits for something good never waits too long. That much is certainly true when £75 million pounds is up for grabs. We are talking, of course, of the EuroMillions Superdraw. The most recent instalment of this European lottery event will be taking place on Friday the 6th of March.
So what is a Superdraw and why does it have millions of lottery players starry eyed? The draw jacks up the jackpot no matter its size to £100 million. Depending on exchange rates this usually comes to somewhere between £70 and £80 million British pounds.
Last year there were a total of two Superdraws taking place. A third one was supposed to be held on the 6th of June 2014, but because the regular jackpot preceding the draw rolled over to above €100 million mark, the Superdraw was deemed superfluous and was therefore postponed.
The last Superdraw was a big one. It rolled over no less than 6 times before a lucky Portuguese winner landed the windfall, earning the anonymous ticket holder a maximum jackpot of €190,000,000.
Britain, too, has had much success with EuroMillions Superdraws. The last Briton to bring one home was Surrey car mechanic Neil Trotter, who scooped up almost £108 million from a Superdraw that started on the 14th of March last year.
The Superdraws are held randomly throughout the year. They are no different from regular draws as far as the game itself is concerned and as a player you do not have to pay extra to participate. The only difference is the enormous starting jackpot, which often rolls over to reach even greater heights.
We are still some weeks away from the anticipated draw. But you can place your bets on it already by playing at Lottoland. You'll be able to select the Superdraw date, March 6th, from just below the main ticket area.
Do you want to know even more about previous Superdraws and their rules? We have gathered more information about them on a dedicated page. If you are new to EuroMillions be sure to check out our rules page.
Tickets for the Superdraw can be bought in store, but you can also pick up welcome bonuses when playing online. We suggest you check out the Money Back Guarantee at Lottoland when playing the first time. That way you have the shot of winning Europe's largest jackpot completely risk free. You can also lock in your own lucky numbers using their Number Shield feature to prevent you from sharing your win.
