The 4 Best Lottery Movies Every EuroMillions Player Should Watch

Every EuroMillions player has their tips and tricks for winning the lottery and hitting the next big jackpot. There’s always something new to learn about the lottery, though, and Hollywood has some amazing lottery movies you can watch and gather some lottery wisdom (and luck lessons) from. Here’s our list of the 4 best lottery movies every EuroMillions player should watch:

1. Lottery Ticket (2010)

Plot summary (why you should watch it): After getting hold of a lottery ticket worth $370 million, Kevin Carson (famous Bow Wow) has some lessons to learn in life regarding who true friends are and what it is to become filthy rich overnight.

Our favorite quote: “Put something in the plate and if we don't got a plate, put what you're going to give me in my hand.”

Winning numbers: 4, 32, 33, 42, 45 (21) – from a fortune cookie

2. It Could Happen To You (1994) – based on a true story

Plot summary (why you should watch it): This film is the living proof that you should never (ever) give out a lottery ticket as a tip! In the movie, a cop has no change to tip the waitress so he promises to give her half of anything his lottery ticket wins. As luck would have it, he scoops the jackpot but then he has this waitress to split the winnings with plus his annoyed wife to deal with…

Our favorite quote: “I told you I'd share my ticket. I never planned on sharing my heart. Maybe I could get lucky twice today.”

Winning numbers: 6, 12, 16, 26, 64, 8

3. Waking Ned Devine (1998)

Plot summary (why you should watch it): This film is about the unfortunate lottery winner Ned Devine who got so excited about his win that he… died. His friends, however, didn’t want the lottery money to be wasted, so they came together in a plot trying to keep the jackpot even though its legal owner is no longer alive.

Our favorite quote: “We find the winner and make sure we are their best friend when they cash the cheque.”

Winning numbers: 19, 40, 4, 7, 25, 29

4. Lucky Numbers (2000)

Plot summary (why you should watch it): In this movie John Travolta plays a famous weatherman who happens to be broke, so he decided to rig the state lottery and become rich “the second way”. As the film progresses and the main character gets closer to jail than to riches, we are provoked to think about the real price of richness.

Our favorite quote: “No man becomes wise without stepping on the soil of fools.”

Winning numbers:  22, 70, 16, 9, 27, 7
